Okay, but what exactly are Splatfests?
By definition, Splatfests are monthly occurrences that center around a particular set of themes that can range from social interactions, to food, and even holidays and customs!
Every month, these themes present themselves in the form of messages (fax messages in human terms) and are announced in news casts to the public. From there, participants can choose what theme they align with the most and defend their choice with the help of like minded individuals.
(Think of it like an opinion poll with the additional benefit of defending your choice)

So why are collaboration and teamwork important aspects?
Splatfests require a great deal of teamwork and collaboration in order for a team to succeed! And much like Splatfest, this zine will require teams of individuals to help bring it all together for a great cause, and of course, for fun.
